In light of the significant number of fatalities and global disruptions caused by the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, the CURE Initiative in conjunction with our partners is accelerating our main goal of building a fit-for-purpose public health crisis early warning system in Nigeria to complement existing platforms operated by health sector stakeholders. One of our solutions involves using best-in-class technology such as AI to track, monitor and analyze data on infectious and non-infectious diseases while upholding consumer privacy.
The data merges input from doctors, epidemiologists, clinical psychologists, behavioural and data scientists and economists inter alia. Information is shared with relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt and appropriate real-time, evidence-based responses, guide crisis prevention planning, enhance prediction tools and optimise resource allocation.
Further, through our global alliances we have access to the most reliable FDA- and CE-IVD-approved tests in terms of sensitivity and specificity for a wide array of diseases. These include open RT-PCR systems, serological and Point of Care tests that have undergone rigorous evaluation by a World Health Organisation-approved body using a standardised, independent protocol.
